CaroleGloverPottery

Having completed my HND in studio ceramics at Derby University in 1994 I commenced working from my home based studio in Stafford, Staffordshire.
My love of “naive” early slipware pieces has encouraged me to incorporate traditional techniques into my own diverse range of thrown pots and sculptured forms.
Using red earthenware clay, traditional slipware decorating techniques and a limited palette of colour I aim to produce pieces that give both a tactile and visual experience.

My preference is to work with my own forms and designs but I am happy to produce replica pieces upon request.
For example I have made Thomas Toft Chargers and produce “Ozzie” Owls for the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery Stoke-on Trent.
